The Isaac Horton family amassed a fortune in lumber and built this completely wooden (7,500 square feet) home in the late 1800's. During the 1970's upon retiring from Blair Corporation, N. Anthony (Tony) Scalise purchased the home as a retirement project. Due to ill health, the project was not completed. Anthony passed away in 1995. His wife, Silvia and their sons (Antonio & Craig), wanting to share this magnificent home, decided to open the Horton House Bed & Breakfast Inn. Today, the Scalise Family continue to reside in and operate the Horton House as the finest in overnight accomodations and breakfast.
